Why would a traditional Adventist Community Services Center need a blog? I don't know? Do you? Well I guess it would be fair to say that we have been dabbling in things contemporary for a while, and as "Neighbor To Neighbor", we've been doing lots of things that other centers don't.
Our Thrift Store helps to stretch dollars for individuals who are really in need and can't afford to just "go shopping". Our clients are attended to by qualified MSW interns and they receive assistance with food, clothing, furniture, dishes, pots, pans, bedding and household items - all free. We also hold seminars geared to educate and empower families in our community and this year again, we are giving Christmas baskets to some of our friends at Lakeland Hospital.
Bet you didn't know that....and if we didn't have a blog, you'd never know.
So do we need to have one? If this is the only way to keep you informed, I guess.
