Worship Time

Worship is an important part of our Volunteer's day. Laura shares a spiritual thought, Lucy tells us of upcoming events and other announcements and finally we share prayer requests and lift them to heaven in prayer.

Filling the Clothes Racks

This is a never ending job, but Jean and her husband cheerfully organize and hang clothes for our customers.

Crazy Quilt Quilters

Rose and Florence are busily completing a beautiful crazy quilt. The completed square blocks were donated and these ladies are putting the final product together. It's going to be a beauty.

January Store Changes

The first week of January some much needed re-organizing of the store took place. Painting was done, walls taken down, things moved here and there. What a mess, but how nice it was when the work was done. Thanks to the many volunteers who helped make the process go smoothly. The putting up of slat board has made areas of the store so much neater looking and items displayed are more sale able.
The furniture department was moved to where the pantry used to be. With the floor freshly painted it looked great.

Some of Our Many Volunteers

Our faithful Volunteers help us in so many wonderful ways. Ella and Anna help to clear the area in front of the drop box. They certainly got their exercise removing all that snow and ice.
Judy explores one of many bags of donated items which she found in the drop box.
Joan is sorting baby clothes for the beautiful layettes she puts together for clients.
Yards of fabric are meticulously measured and marked by Maxine before they are put out for sale.
The workshop corner of our processing area is kept plenty busy. So many things come in that need to be checked or repaired. Ray watches as Harry checks out an item.
Pearl waits on the store customers at the cash register.
Marcia is always on the lookout for that special item that she will list on eBay for us. She has a real knack for spotting the unusual and many of those items have brought N2N a nice profit.
ADRA boxes are packed several times a week. Ella is very particular in her packing and makes it a work of art. She said that she believes that "Whatsoever your hand findeth to do--do it with all your might." --Ecclesiastes 9:10
The food pantry is kept stocked and managed by Sharon. She displays the many donations just like a small store.

N2N Feeling Lighter

The snow and ice build up on the east side of our building was spectacular. But all that weight was not good either.
On a recent Sunday, volunteer Roger spent some time with board member Roy in repairing several doors. After they were done Roger began work on removing some of the snow and ice build up on the building.
Having the right tool for the job, Roger set to work. And the snow came tumbling down. Roger felt that several tons of the white stuff was removed from the roof, making it heave a sigh of relief!
